Halmstad is a recreational and port town on the Swedish west coast. It is a 1 hour 53 minute drive from Copenhagen and a 1 hour 25 minute drive from Gothenburg. This popular summer destination town boasts many attractions from Hotel Tylösand owned by Roxette star Per Gessler to Halmstad Golf Club. The city also hosts numerous summer events that take place each year.

Our cosy apartment is situated where Halmstad city first began, close to the historical Övraby Church Ruin from the 1100s. Overlooking a potato field, the apartment is only a 20 minute walk from the city centre along the Nissan River. For the budding golfers, both Holm Golf Club and Halmstad Golf Club lie approximately 10 km from the apartment. Needing to get to the beach? The nearest bus stop is a stone throw away! Alternatively, an 11 km bike ride will bring you to one of the most popular beaches in Sweden, Tylösand.

Our apartment decor is inspired by an eclectic fusion of Jeandres South African heritage and husband, Daniels Swedish origin. Fresh bamboo wall claddings, shweshwe (South African indigo cloth) patterns and tastefully carved wooden finishes give life to an African atmospheric heartbeat which is housed in a wonderfully traditional Swedish setting.

The apartment boasts a loft bedroom with a double bed (or two singles); a living room with a double sofa bed and dining area; a quaint kitchen with a stove,freezer and refrigerator;a bathroom with a shower and toilet; a washer, a dryer and even a sauna!

Explore the forest, ocean and countryside by bike making use of the fantastic bicycle routes available. Enjoy many of the surrounding lakes fishing and picnic spots. Alternatively, relax in our lush garden of fruit trees (apple, cherry and plum). Feel free to also use our barbecue area on those warm, summer days. Kick your feet up, lay back on the hammock and enjoy the sounds, sights and smells of summer...

PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional fee for guests of more than two at 100 SEK per guest per night. There is also an optional cleaning fee of 350 SEK if you do not wish to clean the apartment yourself after your stay.

From the toll road entering Sweden, continue onto E20 for the next 159 kms.
Take exit 45 toward Halmstad N. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Route. Continue for 2.5 kms. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Sofiebergsvägen. Turn left onto Sperlingsholmsvägen. Take the first left into Tegelbruksvägen. Continue for 450 metres. Tegelbruksvägen 25 will be on the left on the corner.

From Gothenburg:
Follow signs for E20/E6 toward Stockholm/Malmö/Flygplats/40. Merge onto the E6. Continue for 132 kms on the E6. Take exit 45 for 26 toward Halmstad N/Centrum/Flygplats/Tylösand/Jönköping. Turn right onto Norra Infartsleden/Route 26. Continue for 2.2 kms. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Sofiebergsvägen. Turn left onto Sperlingsholmsvägen. Take the first left into Tegelbruksvägen. Continue for 450 metres. Tegelbruksvägen 25 will be on the left on the corner.
